Save Money and Time With Meals Shipped to Your Door

We LOVE food. It is tough to be a foodie in LA because there are SO many good places to eat. It can be hard to resist going out all the time! We have both gone through periods of time where we are eating out too much because we are busy and it is easy and delicious. Sometimes you just don’t have the time to plan meals, go shopping AND cook. Thats why the new food delivery box trend is so awesome. We love to cook and we want to get better at cooking. The meal delivery boxes are great because:

  1. There is no waste. They give you the exact right amount of all the ingredients, so you never have to throw away any food!
  2. They help teach you to cook. Not only do the recipes inspire you to try new things, they also teach you new cooking techniques and methods.
  3. They save you time. You don’t have to shop, plan or find recipes. Its all done for you, you just follow the directions and enjoy.
  4. You save money. You are not going to go out for food when you have beautiful meals waiting for you to make at home! Also, we both found that when they said one meal for 2 people, we had leftovers and ate the rest for lunch the next day!

We tried Green Chef and Hello Fresh. Both were great for different reasons. Continue reading “Save Money and Time With Meals Shipped to Your Door”

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter: Theme Park Outfit

On Wednesday I visited The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios. It was so fun and definitely a stop everyone should make on a trip to LA! The coolest part about it is that you feel fully immersed in the world. It’s not just any theme park, you are stepping into the story of Harry Potter!

What I Wore: I went for comfort and felt great all day! I especially loved my headband!

Homemade Super Healthy, Natural Mouthwash

Last night as I was brushing my teeth I realized I forgot to pick up mouthwash, again! I decided I would do some research and attempt to make my own. It was a huge success and I will probably never buy mouthwash again!  Continue reading “Homemade Super Healthy, Natural Mouthwash”

Make Your Own Coconut Yogurt

This past weekend I biked to Ojai with some friends. One of our friends is from Bulgaria and was telling us about how in Bulgaria you don’t ever buy yogurt in the store, they don’t even have it. You buy milk and make yogurt. I have heard a lot of people talking about making their own yogurt lately, but I have never tried it. Not only is it WAY cheaper to make your own yogurt, it is more sustainable as you will not be wasting packaging AND yogurt at the grocery store is often PACKED with sugar. Your yogurt can be exactly how you want it.

The Every Girl Guide to Sports Bras

Sports bras can be one of the absolute hardest things to shop for in activewear. For years I would layer cheap sports bras for different work outs because they were just not right. Finally I have found the right sports bras for the right work outs.

Size A-B OR larger sizes if you are doing low impact i.e. Yoga or Pilates:

This nike pro indy sports bra is super comfortable and soft and really cute. I have it in grey with lime green straps. I love that it is so comfortable I’ll wear it all day. I also love the thin straps and low profile side panels for wearing under take tops the lime green straps look super cute! It is definitely minimal support for bigger chested girls so I wear it for yoga.

Why We’re Crushing on Jessica Moore

We both loved Jessica from the moment we met her. You know within 5 minutes of talking to her that she is incredibly driven. When she has an idea or vision of what she’d like to achieve, she makes it happen. Her ability to work toward her goals professionally while working her current job and working out LITERALLY every day baffles us all. Jessica is unstoppable.  Jessica is the perfect southern bell while being one of the most worldly people I have met. I say “southern bell” because she is always effortlessly put together and exuding that indescribable heir that only southern women seem to possess! She is aways looking for the next place to travel and surrounds herself with all different kinds of people thus she is always learning, expanding and growing as a person.  Continue reading “WCW: Jessica Moore”

Roll Away Your Problem Areas: How The Foam Roller Can Reduce Cellulite

Cellulite is many of my clients’ biggest complaints. Working out and eating well can tone muscle and get rid of fat. Cellulite can be more frustrating because it is mostly caused by genetics.

The appearance of cellulite comes from fat cells pushing through fascia. fascia becomes dehydrated with lack of movement or age, and cellulite becomes more apparent.

The most common problem area for cellulite is the upper legs and butt. Rolling out these areas drains the lymphatic system and helps rehydrate the area, thus reducing the appearance of cellulite!

3 ways to Roll:

Backs of Thighs and Butt  Continue reading “Roll Away Your Problem Areas: How The Foam Roller Can Reduce Cellulite”

Recipe: Healthy Lentil Soup

When I cook at home I LOVE to cook something that will last a few days so when I’m busy I have a healthy lunch or dinner already made! My mom used to make lentil soup. It is a great source of protein and veggies and it’s delicious and easy! We were inspired by the Moosewood Cookbook’s recipe but made some changes to make it our own!
